The musicians of Eboracum Baroque are joined by the author and illustrator, Jess Courtney Tickle in an interactive workshop including live music and art and craft activities. The story follows a little girl called Isabelle and her dog, Pickle on the adventure of a lifetime across the changing seasons. Alongside the narration of the book (by Vivaldi himself!) and projection of beautiful illustrations hear the wonderful music of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons performed on baroque instruments.
There will be group workshops to work with Jess on an exciting craft activity and also a musical workshop led by Chris Parsons creating a thunderstorm body percussion piece to tie in with the seasonal theme. This promises to be a unique event for all children of primary school age and an engaging, interactive way to hear live classical music. The whole workshop including the live performance lasts for around 90 minutes.
