Friday 19th February – Purcell’s Stage works

Friday 26th February – The Harpsichord

Friday 12th March – The Double Bass

Friday 26th March – The Trio Sonata

Back in March 2020 at the start of the first lockdown we had an idea of showcasing an instrument or group of instruments in shorter ‘spotlight’ concerts. These concerts are a chance to meet the musicians of Eboracum and to see the historical instruments that we perform on up close as if you had the best seat in the house! Check out the Spotlight Concerts playlist on our YouTube channel where you can catch up with all the concerts so far.

For our second series we’re delving further to introduce you to other musicians in the ensemble over the coming weeks as we shine a light on certain instruments, composers and styles. The musicians of Eboracum Baroque are currently dotted around the UK (and abroad) and these concerts will take us to Cambridge, London, Edinburgh and even Spain and Serbia!

Thank you so much for all the amazing support we have received throughout this challenging time to support the freelance musicians of Eboracum Baroque. These Spotlight concerts are around 20/30 minutes in length and we’d be really grateful, if you feel able to do so to give a small donation of £5 at the end of the concert. This donation will go towards supporting the musicians you have heard today. We’re determined to carry on bringing exciting and interesting new content to you all at home. We hope to have a busy season of outdoor summer concerts and hope to announce some exciting plans soon.

Please do like, follow or subscribe to our social media pages including YouTube so you can be the first to know what we’re up to next!

Stay safe and Best wishes,

Chris Parsons, Artistic Director of Eboracum Baroque
