Spotlight Concert: The Trio Sonata

Watch on YouTube and Facebook.

The Trio Sonata form was the most popular instrumental music of the baroque period. It was written by composers all across Europe and was eagerly marketed to amateur musicians to perform at home.

This concert features music by Telemann and Handel and takes a look at how the Trio Sonata became such a popular musical work in the 17th and 18th centuries. Aided by technology, members of Eboracum Baroque come together from across Europe, including the UK, Spain and Serbia.

Violins: Katarina Djordevic and Kirsty Main

Cello: Miri Nohl

Harpsichord: Marta Lopez

We’d be really grateful, if you feel able to do so, to give a small donation at the end of this concert. In these challenging times we are extremely grateful for your support. We recommend a donation of £5 but any donation is gratefully received if you are able to make one. This donation will go towards supporting the musicians you have heard today as well as helping to secure the future for Eboracum Baroque. See more information about how to do this securely online at the link below:
