Hear about Handel’s life in Georgian London and expect a gruesome tale or two along the way! Interspersed with Terry’s tales hear music from the time including famous works by Handel. Signed Copies of Terry Deary’s Gorgeous Georgians will be available to buy in the museum shop.

Britten's Ceremony of Carols is a selection of movements set to a Middle English text, originally written in 1942 when Britten was on voyage returning from the USA.

This extra special family event in conjunction with the Barnes Music Society brings together the music of baroque specialists Eboracum with the story-telling of Terry Deary, creator of Horrible Histories, on video link from York. Expect musical Fireworks, some water and of course lots of participation. School workshops led by Eboracum Baroque will be held in local schools in the week before the concert with children from these schools coming together to form the chorus at the main event.
