We’re delighted to be returning to the idyllic surroundings of the Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester for a series of baroque concerts from Thursday 24th June – Saturday 26th June. Tickets are now available:
Thursday 24th June, 7pm: Dido and Aeneas + The Fairy Queen (Purcell and a Pint is included in this ticket price)
Friday 25th June, 7pm: Baroque Classics in the Orchard
Saturday 26th June, 7pm: Acis and Galatea
You can see the details of each concert on the separate concert page for each performance above. We’re very excited to be returning to live performance with Henry Purcell’s classic opera of love and betrayal, Dido and Aeneas (24th June) and Handel’s pastoral opera, Acis and Galatea (26th June). Alongside these two wonderful works, we’ll present a programme of ‘Baroque Classics’ on Friday 25th June and ‘Purcell and a Pint’ after the Dido and Aeneas performance on Thursday 24th June (included in the ticket price!)
The Orchard Tea Garden will be serving refreshments before the performances and during the interval. Please bring your own seating if you wish but the famous green deck chairs will be out!
You will see that a ‘festival ticket’ is available for all 4 performances as well as separate tickets for each concert. We look forward to welcoming you, we can’t wait to perform in front of an audience again! Please do invite all your friends and family who might like to come and watch! There is plenty of space to be well spread out and enjoy the concert in a relaxed and beautiful setting.
Thank you for your ongoing support throughout these challenging times, we’re very grateful.
Best wishes,
Chris Parsons, Artistic Director of Eboracum Baroque
